We are a small practice that focuses on individualized and preventative
care. Our doctors are trained to treat patients of all ages -
from newborns to senior citizens. Let us know how we can assist
you with everything from routine preventative care, such as physical
exams, vision or hearing screening, and acute care.
As a family physician, Dr. Alton Tucker knows that the better informed our patients are, the better we can be of service to you. If
you have a scheduled appointment and are unable to honor it, please
call us as soon as possible. We ask for at least 48 hours cancellation
notice for physical exams and procedure appointments and 24 hours
notice for all other appointments. We reserve the right to charge
a $25 fee for missed appointments.
Insurance
We participate with a variety of insurance plans. Contact us for
a list of plans, or consult your insurance carrier's member services
department or their website.
Referrals
If your insurance plan requires that you have referrals for services
provided outside of this practice, you must request a referral
from us prior to your appointment with the specialist. We are
unable, through contractual obligations with insurance carrriers,
to back-date referrals.
Payment and Billing
Please have your insurance card available each time you come to
our office. Co-payments are requested when you check-in for your
appointment in order to reduce waiting time in our office.
Our Physician

Alton G. Tucker, M.D. -- Dr.
Tucker is a native of Virginia and has been in practice for
more than 20 years. Affectionately known as our "singing
doc," he received his medical degree from Medical College
of Virginia in Richmond and completed his residency at Fairfax
Family Practice. He has been attending to the medical needs
of this area for several years as one of the founders of Burke
Family Practice. In 1988, Dr. Tucker began practicing medicine
at Virginia Family Practice Association in Fairfax. He is
board certified by The American Board of Family Practice and
has privileges at INOVA Fairfax and INVOVA Fair Oaks hospitals.

To The Patients of Huntsman Medical Center:
It is with regret that we announce the separation of Dr Tucker and Dr Nekoba. Effective July 1, 2009, they will no longer be in partnership. Dr. Tucker will carry on as Springfield/Burke Family Practice Corporation and Dr. Nekoba has chosen to join Loudoun Medical Group (LMG). Initially, both physicians will continue to see patients at the current location.
The physicians are working diligently to make this transition seamless for their patients. The one change that needs your attention is the change of primary physician with your insurance company. You will no longer be able to see Dr. Tucker and Dr. Nekoba interchangeably. Please select one of the physicians and contact your insurance carrier immediately. Delaying this choice will require referrals for some office visits.
For those patients choosing to continue with Dr. Nekoba, you will be asked to sign a form (one time only) that indicates your desire to remain with Dr. Nekoba. This will also serve as a record release to have your records transferred to Dr. Nekoba. You may stop by the office to take care of this form at your convenience although we do request that this is done prior to any office visits. Dr Nekoba will be continuing to practice at the current office location.
Dr Tucker has chosen to move his practice to a new location beginning September 1, 2009. His new office will be located just 5 miles from the current location. The new address is 8991 Cotswold Drive, Burke VA 22015. His phone and fax number will remain unchanged.
Both physicians look forward to continuing their patient relationships and will continue the medical care that you have come to know. If you have any questions regarding this transition, please feel free to talk with your doctor.
